Creo que hay dos cuestiones importantes en las palabras de Saramago, por un lado, un acicate de realidad capitalista, pero por otro lado, un marcado pesimismo al declarar que el mundo no tiene solución. Como bien señalas, sabemos esto, pero el saberlo implica actuar para que las cosas cambien.
